Some last pictures from Crete

Jon remains reluctant to blog but agreed a few final pictures from Crete were in order.

Iraklio's old and new ports, with the latter featuring the ferry we took here a week ago:

My triumphant day

Today we went to the beach. And before I went to the beach my dad and I went putt putt golfing and I won.

And then after we were done putt putt golfing I went swimming and was looking for big rocks and found some fish.

Then after rest time we went and got ice-cream.

And then my mom and I played Skip-Bo and I won.

I'll keep you posted!

One of the last places I'm staying

This is the front entrance of one of the last places I'm staying [in Kastellos, Crete]. There are only going to be four more blogs.

And this is me eating breakfast at the front entrance.

And this is our back patio.

And this is the view from our back patio. And we have two pools all to ourselves.

This is me diving into one of the pools.

And this is how we get our water. This is a really big solar panel and I've seen a commercial about these solar panels. And the solar panels heat our water.

And this is me in my bed.

I'll keep you posted!

A post Jon doesn't know about

Jon's been so tired he hasn't had the energy to blog for the last couple of days. But below are a few pictures from our visit to Rethymno this morning.

The entrance to the Venetian Fortezza:

A spitting water fountain in the Old Town:

Hopefully he'll keep you posted tomorrow.

Corinth and Knossos

Yesterday morning we went to see these cool ruins. It's where St. Paul went to preach and he started a church.

And then we went on this huge, fancy boat and it was a ferry.

And we had to wake up really early for the next passengers so they could clean it.

And then we went to see the labyrinth where the Minotaur used to live.

And here's me and the Minotaur in Lego:

Now we are staying at a villa up in the hills [of Crete]. And it's like our own house.

I'll keep you posted!

When I went to see these cool ruins

I went to see these cool ruins with Auntie G and my mom and my dad and Emmy.

If you talk in your normal voice in the theater people can hear you even if they're spread apart or at the top.

And it was huge.

And outside of this museum I pretended to be a statue head, as you can see:

And I saw some other ruins around here [at Epidavros]. And we had a little snack at the ruins.

I'll keep you posted!

One of my days in Nafplio

A few days ago I got a snorkel and it was glowing green. My snorkel is my favorite thing I like to use in the pool.

Yesterday we took this cool train through the inner-town of Nafplio.

And today we went back to Nafplio. I finally got a chess set and it came with another game [backgammon].

And then my dad drove us up to the fortress. And the fortress was huge and it was pretty high up.

I'll keep you posted!

And here is a sneak peak from today's blog: if you look in the back of the church picture you will see the fortress.

The day Auntie came

Today my dad went to pick up Auntie G from the airport. Then a little bit later I swam in the pool with Auntie.

We had dinner on a pier [in Tolo] with Auntie.

And this is me on our balcony with Auntie G.

I'll keep you posted!

A couple of days when I got caught up again

Sorry I have been too busy to post to you, but I've been having too much fun.

On Wednesday we drove from Thessaloniki to Delphi. My dad didn't have money for prayer candles because he left it in the car [at this shrine in the Tembi Valley].

When we got to Delphi we went to this shop where my dad got two chess sets before, and I got a cool castle tower [as a gift from the shop owner].

This is me at our hotel swimming in Delphi.

On Thursday we went to see some ruins in Delphi. And this is where the oracle was. It told the future in riddles.

And then we drove to Tolo. To be continued...

I visited Sandanski

Editor's note: Jon's too tired from his afternoon and evening in Sandanski, Bulgaria, that he just wanted to share a few photos today:

And this is what Jon says: "I'll keep you posted!"

My weekend in Sofia

This weekend we stayed at a cool hotel in Sofia. And it was the best hotel in Sofia. And they gave us free chocolates which were delicious.

My dad and I took a walk around Sofia and we saw this cool bouncy thing.

We went to this big mall and there was Subway. And I got a new Lego there.

And then the next day [Saturday] we went to this cafe. And then we took a guided tour of Sofia.

In the evening we met a new friend, Richard, who took us to a cool restaurant. And there was a pretend moving chef.

On Sunday we saw my dad's old friend [Tihomira] and his old house. And my dad's old friend took us to a street fair. And I got a pirate tattoo.

Today we went to this maze thing right behind the hotel. And then we rode to Sandanski.

I'll keep you posted!
